Another Flat Lifter Breakthrough

For the last ten years, we have enjoyed a high level of success with our composite based flat lifters. No wear on the cam or lifters and the convenience of no break-in, have been real time and money savers for racers and engine builders.

However, many of our customers have asked for a lifter with the same, no wear/no break-in, features but one that will qualify with the restrictions placed by some associations permitting only all steel lifters. The challenge gave us considerable incentive to develop a new lifter. One that could meet the requirements for being all steel and “ magnetic ” when tested and still have the same positive characteristics of our composite formula. This goal has been very difficult, to say the least. We discarded no less than 65 different material processes over the last year in attempting to develop a product that will pass our tests.

But, we are pleased to announce that our persistence has prevailed. We have succeeded in producing all steel “ magnetic ” lifter with every positive characteristic of our composite lifter. Not to be confused with a plating or coating, our proprietary composition is alloyed into the steel at the cam surface of the lifter. The new flat lifters are for cast iron cams and welded steel cams only. The new flat lifters will be $640 per set and they will be designated Flat Solid Steel (FSS). They meet the requirements of the leading associations in both drag and circle track racing and are tested and proven .
