A lighter & stronger rocker is only as good as the support stud it sits on.  When spring loads cause the stud to flex, solutions are limited.  Our solution is a stronger and more stable platform.

We designed our rocker arm to use the standard 3/8" and 7/16" support studs for convenience, but we also made enough room in the part to utilize a larger 1/2" diameter mounting stud as an option for more stability, thereby eliminating the need for a stud girdle.

Our optional 1/2" stud uses the same 7/16" coarse threaded end which is inserted into the head, eliminating the need for any drilling or tapping, but it gets larger from that point on.  It has a larger hex nut to spread the load with a bigger footprint on the head.  Instead of an 11/16" deep socket normally used, it requires a 13/16" socket to secure the stud into the head.  The upper 1/2" diameter stud portion is 32% stronger and more stable than the 7/16" stud.  It is a larger footprint from the increase in hex nut size of the 1/2" stud option.
